GP down south are pleased to offer practices the Canning Data Extraction Tool Version 4.6 for Medical Director 2, Medical Director 3, Best Practice, Medical Spectrum, PractiX and MedTech32.

Canning Data Extraction Tool rapidly and easily extracts information about particular cohorts of patients to provide insight into the mechanisms of care delivery at work within the Practice. It can assist Practices streamline and improve the collection and management of patient information, Practice systems and quality of care provided to patients.

Version 4.6 has two new modules.

HPV Module

The HPV module provides the Practice with the ability to identify patients who have received the Gardasil vaccine and to target those who require their 2nd or 3rd dose. The Canning Tool will assist Practices to attain a higher vaccination compliance rate. The ultimate feature of this report is to use the filter to show just the patients due for their 3rd dose, export it to Excel (which includes addresses), and use the exported file to mail merge into a Word template, to create recall letters for these patients.

APCC Module

The Canning Data Extraction Tool has recently added the extended APCC measures which include Diabetes, CHD, COPD, and prevention measures. This module is currently only available to Medical Director users and will be extended to other programs in further releases.
