Denise Puddick attended Parliament last week to hear the announcement that the State Government will continue to fund the Peel Mobile Health Service for another 12 Months

After the State Government announced the Peel Mobile Health Service (PMHS) funding would cease from the 30th June 2017, the Shire of Waroona, stakeholders, community members and GP down south rallied together to voice their opposition of the decision.  The PMHS provides health services to community members in the Peel Region who would otherwise not be able access these services.

As a result of the community opposition the feedback from GP down south, the Government has agreed to extend the funding of ther service for a further 12 months.  This ongoing funding will enable GP down south to continue providing a range of health services to the people in the region.
