South Yunderup resident Caitlin Elphick (22) has been nominated in the Woolworths Youth Group Achievement Award category of the 7 News Young Achievers Awards for young people showing strong leadership ability.
WAPHA recently provided a fully funded traineeship opportunity for up to 15 staff working in a Comprehensive Primary Care Participating Practice in Perth North and Perth South PHNs. Once successfully obtaining this qualification, staff will have the skills and abilities to work either directly or indirectly under the supervision of a medical practitioner and carry out a range of delegated tasks including front desk administration and treatment room care.
The new $9.2 million Peel Health Hub was officially opened on Wednesday 12th December 2018.
The state-of-the-art facility took more than three years of planning and consultation from a variety of stakeholders.
With funds from state, federal and local government as well as Lotterywest, the Peel Health Foundation, Growing Our South Administration Fund and donations from the community, construction began on the facility in 2017.
Services have already begun in the Peel Health Hub, offering a unique and collaborative model of care for youth in the Peel region.
