As a result of generous funding from ALCOA, GP down south has been providing the services of a Case Manager at Peel Youth Medical Service (PYMS) since 2016.
As the Case Manager, Joseph Gauci has been providing young people with support to access a range of community, clinical and social networks in an effective, efficient and timely manner.
Unfortunately, the funding for the Case Manager position ceased on the 30 June 2018 and we have not been successful in finding alternative funding. As a result, GP down south is no longer able to continue to provide this service.
Since 2012 in partnership with Peel Health Foundation and State Health, and then through funding from the Shire of Waroona, the Peel Mobile Health Service (PMHS) has been providing health and wellbeing services in the regions of Waroona, Pinjarra and Mandurah. In partnership with local services, the PMHS has supported in the delivery of mental health services, diabetes and dietetic services, alcohol and other drugs services as well as family support.
