Intensive Parenting Support
Working with WACHS (WA Country Health Service) a new service delivery model for intensive parenting support to families will be piloted in the South West. The program aims to improve health and developmental milestones of vulnerable children and their families. It will involve engagement with families with young children to encourage and teach skills such as healthy food preparation, child safety, sleep management, parent-child attachment, community connectedness and school readiness. Staff will travel to towns in the South West and visit families in a home based setting.
Recruitment for the program is currently in progress and will involve the appointment of a Program Coordinator and three Support Workers. At least three staff will be located in Bunbury and one other may be located in either Busselton or Bunbury.
