January 2019

WAPHA recently provided a fully funded traineeship opportunity for up to 15 staff working in a Comprehensive Primary Care Participating Practice  in Perth North and Perth South PHNs. Once successfully obtaining this qualification, staff will have the skills and abilities to work either directly or indirectly under the supervision of a medical practitioner and carry out a range of delegated tasks including front desk administration and treatment room care.

GP down south is pleased to announce that Brenda Grandison, who has worked at Nidjalla Waangan Mia for 3 years in a reception/administration role was successful in her application to undertake this course.

The course runs for 18 months and once completed,  will enable Brenda to provide clinical services to the Nidjalla clients, and clinical support to the Aboriginal Health Workers and Nurses working at Nidjalla in addition to her administration duties.

Well done Brenda and congratulations from all of us at GP down south.
