PEEL HEALTH HUB
January 2019

2018 has seen the PeelHealth Hub become a reality.
The Peel Health Hub is a one stop shop for the health needs of young people in the Peel region providing a
coordinated response to the health issues impacting young people including mental health, suicide, drugs and alcohol.
Importantly the GP supported, integrated and collaborative model of care provides health and wellbeing services to adults and families in addition to young people. Major co-locators in the Peel Health Hub are Palmerston, Allambee Counselling, Peel Youth Medical Service, headspace Mandurah and GP down south. In addition, there are a number of other organisations that will partner in the delivery of the model of care, with some leasing space within the facility and others providing services from other locations.

We recently welcomed the Hon. Greg Hunt, Federal Minister for Health accompanied by Mr Andrew Hastie, Federal Member for Canning and Mr Zak Kirkup, Member for Dawesville to the site for a tour of the Peel Health Hub. Minister Hunt was very impressed with the progress of the project and really keen to discuss the Model of Care and integration and collaboration of services within the Hub. (images below)
